Audrey Cohn-Sandler Award in Sociology
Up to $500
Awarded to one full-time undergraduate student enrolled in the Sociology program entering their fourth year of study; must have successfully completed all of their required program courses for the first, second and third year of the Sociology curriculum; must have demonstrated excellence in their studies with a CGPA of 3.33 or higher in both the previous fall and winter terms, with a course load of at least four courses in each of these terms; must have a clear academic standing. Applicants must submit a cover letter that describes their commitment to community service and explains how they have demonstrated this commitment in recent years; must submit a letter of reference related to their community service from a Ryerson professor or appropriate staff person or from an external person; must submit a letter of reference regarding their academics from a Ryerson professor.

Slobodan Drakulic Memorial Award
Up to $1000
Awarded to one full-time undergraduate student enrolled in the Sociology program completing first or second year of study and be enrolled in the second or third year on on a full-time basis; must be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person; be an Ontario resident; demonstrate financial need; demonstrate overall excellence in their studies with a CGPA of 3.00 or higher; must demonstrate having overcome significant academic challenges in pursuit of their studies through a marked improvement in grades either between fall and winter term if the student has just completed first year, or between first and second year if the student has just completed second year.

Sociology Community Development Award

The Department of Sociology recognizes the importance of building a lively and vibrant community in order to foster student success and engagement. This award recognizes Sociology students who have been instrumental in developing a sense of community amongst their peers during their time at Ryerson. To be eligible students must be full-time undergraduate students in Ryerson's Sociology program; must have demonstrated a commitment to fostering a sense of community among Sociology program students in the previous academic year; be in clear academic standing, with a minimum CGPA of 2.00; must demonstrate financial need.
