Challenge Credits
A Challenge Credit is an academic credit for skills and knowledge gained outside the traditional post-secondary school environment, usually through work experience.
You may not challenge a course in which you are or have previously enrolled at Ryerson or any other institution, or which you have already challenged and has previously failed.
The non-refundable fee per Challenge Credit is $175.
Most degree programs allow no more than a total of five single-term challenge credits. The G. Raymond Chang School of Continuing Education certificate programs allow a maximum of two single-term challenge credits. Not all courses are challengeable; consult the teaching department of the course you wish to challenge.
Application forms are available on-line or at the Office of Enrollment Services and Student Records (POD-70). If you would prefer to have the application form mailed to you, please email: gradinfo@ryerson.ca.
If you have already applied for a Challenge Credit and need a status update, please call 416-979-5151. Please have your student ID number ready.
