Grade Scales – Undergraduate
Before 1965
Before 1965, all Ryerson programs were run on a yearly basis: marks shown are final, year by year. In the early years, course marks were shown as grades in Roman numerals.
Averages and Grades:
Students were rated on a scale of marks ranging from 1 to 100, with 50 being a passing mark in individual courses. An overall average of 60 was necessary for promotion.
