Maintaining Academic Progression
In order to remain eligible for OSAP, you are required to maintain satisfactory academic progression throughout your studies. This means that you must achieve passing grades in at least 60% of your courses during one study period.
Please refer to the chart below to see how failure to meet academic standards can impact your OSAP eligibility.

| Failure to maintain satisfactory academic standing during one study period. | You will be placed on OSAP academic probation. You will be eligible to apply for OSAP for the next academic year. | You must achieve satisfactory academic standing in the following years in order to remain eligible for OSAP. |
| Failure to maintain satisfactory academic standing during two study periods. | You will lose your OSAP eligibility for a minimum of 12 months. | You are responsible for maintaining your previous OSAP loans in good standing. |
| Failure to maintain satisfactory academic standing during three study periods. | You will lose your OSAP eligibility for a minimum of 36 months. | You are responsible for maintaining your previous OSAP loans in good standing. |
If you have lost your OSAP eligibility due to academic probation, but you are still enrolled as a full-time student taking a minimum of 3 billing units, you must notify your lender of your status by completing a Continuation of Interest Free Status form
