OSAP Funding Available to Fresh Start Students

If you were 'Required to Withdraw' at the end of the Fall 2012 semester, you may be eligible for the Spring and Summer 2013 Fresh Start program.

Students who are enrolled in the first semester of the Fresh Start Program may be eligible for Part Time OSAP funding. A Continuation of Interest Free status will not be available to Fresh Start students in the first semester.

Enrollment in the FRESH START PROGRAM AT RYERSON means OSAP considers you on Academic Probation. You are required to provide a detailed letter (signed and dated) explaining the following ("Letter of Explanation"):

  • Explain the circumstances that led to the failure.
  • What steps/strategies you will take during your probationary period to improve your academic progress; and
  • Your current academic objectives and career goals
