Government Assistance Programs in Other Provinces
In order to qualify for OSAP, students must meet one of the following criteria:
- You have always resided in Ontario
-- OR-- - Ontario is the last province you resided in for 12 consecutive months without being a full-time postsecondary student
Students who do not meet OSAP’s Ontario residency requirements should apply for funding with their home province. Please refer to the chart below for information about assistance programs in other provinces.

IMPORTANT FOR CONTINUING EDUCATION STUDENTS:
Students interested in applying for a student loan need to ensure that the following steps are completed before submitting their student loan application:
1) Check that your program is approved for student loans by checking here
2) If your program is eligible for student loans, you must register in your certificate by following the instructions on the Chang School Webpage
3) Enroll in a full time course load (defined as a minimum 3 billing units/term)
Only after the above steps are met, our office will complete any necessary paperwork (i.e. Program Cost form) for your loan application.
