I will be attending Ryerson as a First Year student; I can log in to my.ryerson.ca with my student number but I cannot access my RMail. Can you please activate my RMail?
You will not have access to an RMail account until you are matriculated into RAMSS. Once you are matriculated into the system (this is the process where your profile changes from applicant to student) you will be required to select a user name to sign into Blackboard and RMail. You will then have access to your RMail and login with the user name selected.
I noticed that I have a negative balance, does that means I owe money to Ryerson?
A negative balance implies that you have a credit in your Student Fees Account. If you have a negative balance, you have two options:
1. Leave the credit in your Student Financial Account to be applied to future fees & charges,
2. Request a refund cheque to be issued by the Student Fees office.
The cheque will take approximately 4 to 6 weeks to be issued and mailed to the address you have recorded in RAMSS.
When is the deadline to pay my tuition? Do I have to pay in full for Fall and Winter?

Can I defer my tuition fee? If so, what is the procedure for deferring my tuition fee?

Late fees of 1.25% (16.08% effective annual rate) will be charged on unpaid Fall 2012 undergraduate tuition fees as of September 8, 2012 and on unpaid Winter 2013 undergraduate tuition fees as of January 10, 2013.

What is an Enrollment Appointment? What do I have to do during my Enrollment Appointment?
Your Enrollment Appointment is an online appointment through RAMSS. Your appointment is the period which will enable you to make changes to your schedule (add/swap/drop).
When do I enroll into Winter courses? Do I enroll into my elective/Liberal Studies courses for both Fall and Winter at this time?
You may select your Winter course intentions during the Course Intention periods and enroll into Winter courses during the Enrollment Appointment Periods. You should participate in Course Intentions as it enables your program department to determine which courses to offer and how many sections will be needed. If you do not complete your Course Intentions, there may not be enough space for you in the courses you want.
What time does my enrollment appointment start?
The start date/time and end date/time for your enrollment appointment(s) will be displayed in your Student Center in RAMSS. Use View Your Enrollment Appointment to confirm your appointment schedule for enrollment activities.
I already have a schedule pre-selected for me, why do I need to have an enrollment appointment?
All full-time program, first-year students who confirm an Offer of Admission by the end of July will be automatically enrolled in their required courses (as per the current Undergraduate Calendar available at www.ryerson.ca/undergraduate/calendars ) and will be required to only enroll in Liberal Studies courses (if applicable). You may enroll in your Liberal Studies courses during your enrollment appointment, which generally occur in mid-August. All full-time, first-year students who confirm an Offer of Admission later than the end of July will have to enroll in both required and Liberal Studies courses via RAMSS.
Do I need to enroll into any electives/Liberal courses? How do I find out which Liberal Studies courses I have to take?
To determine if you require a Liberal Studies Course, please consult the current Undergraduate Calendar
I'm having trouble enrolling into my required courses. All of them are closed (full) at the moment. Can you enroll me in these courses?
If the course is full, please continue checking course availability as spaces may open up closer to the start date of the class. If you have difficulties enrolling in your required courses, please contact your program department for assistance. However liberal electives are filled on a first come, first served basis.

I’m trying to enroll into some Liberal Studies courses and they are full. How do I get onto the waitlist?
Unfortunately, Ryerson does not offer any wait lists. If you experience problems enrolling in your required courses, please contact your program department for further assistance . However, Liberal Studies electives are filled on a first come, first served basis.

I’m trying to enroll for Professionally Related courses; however, the available time for the courses is conflicting with my schedule. Is there anything that can be done about that?
RAMSS will not allow you to enroll in both courses if there is a time conflict. We recommend that you try to select different sections of the course to avoid conflicts, or select a different Professionally Related course. If you require assistance, please contact your Program Advisor.
See Academic Contacts for an Undergraduate Program Advisor list.
Can you tell me what my schedule is? When do my classes start and where are my classes located?
Students have access to their class schedules on RAMSS. Please refer to your Weekly Schedule in your Student Center.
I have a couple of classes on my schedule for Monday and I can see that in the list view however, when I switch to weekly view, there is nothing displayed for Monday.
Please ensure that you are looking at the right dates. Some of the classes commence earlier and they are showing up on “This Week’s Schedule” on the main page of RAMSS. Classes that commence later will appear in next week's schedule. Please access this information by clicking into "weekly schedule", and change the dates to appropriate start dates of the courses.
