Review website, call office or visit campus to find out about living in residence. Once offered admission to Ryerson, apply online for residence and make initial payment

Tour residence during the summer on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 11:30 a.m. Please arrive 10 minutes early at the Student Housing Services office PIT-100 (Pitman Hall).

Card Get your Ryerson OneCard

When you pick-up your OneCard, you must bring:

  • TWO pieces of Government Issued ID – ONE must be a Photo ID; Drivers license, Provincial Health Card with photo, Citzenship Card, Passport
  • Ryerson Student Number

Student Loan Apply for a Student Loan
  • June: Apply online for OSAP
  • Mid July: Submit all supporting documentation and signature pages
  • By end of August: Enrol in course load as reported on your OSAP application

Important Update: Class Schedules, Enrollment and Timetable Creation

  1. All full-time program first year students are advised to verify their enrollment in required and elective courses, and the status of their timetables as follows:
    1. Review the Undergraduate Calendar for your program requirements, liberal studies, restricted courses, etc.
    2. Verify your timetable in RAMSS
    3. Enroll in courses, as necessary and as applicable, in accordance with the instructions in RAMSS Support.
  2. All other students are advised to enroll, as necessary and as applicable, in accordance with the instructions in their RAMSS Support and/or as instructed by their Program Department/School.
Review the Undergraduate Calendar for your program requirements, liberal studies, restricted courses, etc. Before enrolling in a class – so you can see exactly what courses you need www.ryerson.ca/undergraduate/calendars
Enrollment Appointments commence for 1st year students via RAMSS Starting August 14 my.ryerson.ca
Fees Pay your Fees
Pay all fees for the academic year to avoid late fee charges. For a summary of fees check the Undergraduate Fees by Program
  • As per offer of Admission : $1,000 deposit to ensure your spot in the program
  • Sept. 7: All fees for the Fall and Winter terms are due
  • Sept. 14: Final date to drop an undergraduate course and be eligible for 100% refund (if applicable)
  • Oct. 5: Final date to drop an undergrad course and be eligible for 50% refund (if applicable)

Apply to Work on Campus
  • Mid-August: Apply for Work Study approval at jobs@gwemail.ryerson.ca
  • Third week of December: deadline to apply for Work Study approval
  • Mid-January: deadline to be hired
  • Take a copy of approval to your job interview
  • For International Students: Review ISSWEP eligibility requirements & approval (non-immigrants)

Aboriginal Register with the Ryerson Aboriginal Student Services (First Nations, Non-Status, Status, Inuit and Metis)
  • June - August: Register with Ryerson Aboriginal Student Services (RASS) and apply
    for the RASS bookstore bursary
  • August - September: Contact your Education counsellor/unit to send a letter to Student Fees regarding payment of your tuition fees
  • September: attend R.A.S.S Orientation or Open House

Access Register with the Access Centre for Disability-Related Academic Accommodations
  • June - July: call to set up a registration appointment with a counsellor
  • Bring the appropriate medical documentation to your appointment
  • Visit our Prospective Students webpage to find out what kind of documentation is needed
  • Early November: Deadline to register to receive services from the Access Centre
  • Mid-November: Deadline to book final exams for Fall Term
  • January: Pick up accommodation forms for Winter courses
  • Mid-March: Deadline to book final exams for Winter Term
  • May-August: Re-register with the Access Centre for next academic year

Immigration Letter Get your Immigration Letter (non-immigrants)
International students must have valid Study Permits to study at Ryerson legally.

International students without valid Study Permits must contact the International Services for Students (ISS) office to:
  • Inquire about immigration, policies and procedures
  • Access personalized immigration advising support
  • Request immigration letters from ISS in order to apply for Study Permits before the beginning of the academic year
