Engineering Transfer Credits |
Core and Professional Engineering Transfer Credits
Transfer Credits and Advanced Standing for core and professional engineering courses are granted at the time of admission. Your Offer of Admission will provide details on granted Transfer Credits.
Transfer Credits will not be granted for core and professional engineering courses for previous post-secondary education completed in a program not accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB)

Questions regarding Transfer Credits for core and professional engineering courses should be directed to the Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science’s Undergraduate Engineering, Admissions and Recruitment Office.
Liberal Studies and Non-Engineering Transfer Credits
You may apply for Liberal Studies and Non-Engineering Transfer Credits through the Transfer Credit Unit. Do not apply for core and professional engineering transfer credits.
You may be eligible for Lower Level and Upper Level Liberal Studies Transfer Credits as well as Credits for:
- CMN 432 – Communications in the Engineering Profession
- ECN 801– Principles of Engineering Economics
All courses unrelated to these subject areas will be denied.
The following Liberal Studies courses are not eligible for Transfer Credits for Engineering students:
- CHN 101, CHN 201, CHN 301, CHN 401
- FRE 101, FRE 201, FRE 301, FRE 401
- SPN 101, SPN 201, SPN 301, SPN 401
