International Transfer Credits

As an international student who has completed advanced secondary or post-secondary education outside Canada you may be eligible for Transfer Credits. 

Assemble your Transfer Credit applications in advance and apply early.  It can take time to prepare a complete application including the required detailed course outlines.  

Be sure to review the following information as well as throughout the Transfer Credit website.

Transfer Credit Eligibility:

• Visit Eligible Transfer Credits for details on your eligibility
• Advanced Secondary School courses may be considered for Transfer Credits
• Core Engineering courses are granted at the time of admission
  
  

Transfer Credit Applications:

• 1 Transfer Credit Application is required for each course you are submitting to be evaluated.
• Attach course outlines to each Transfer Credit Application.
• Transcripts submitted at the time of admission are used to confirm your grades.  If your institution does not identify courses using course codes, write on the paper Application the course title exactly as it appears on your transcript.
• Course titles listed on course outlines must match the course title on your transcript.
• Visit application information in the Certificate or Undergraduate sections.
  
  

International Course Outlines:

• Course outlines must be officially translated if the medium of instruction is not English or French. 
• If the original course outline is not in English or French, a certified translation of the course outline is required in addition to the official outline in the original language. Acceptable translators include a notary public or a certified translating service. Ryerson does not offer suggestions or have established partnerships with public notaries.
• If course outline information is published in a booklet, you must photocopy the course information attaching it to the appropriate Transfer Credit Application.  Please submit the original booklet with your applications. 
• Keep a copy of all the documents/outlines you are submitting. The Transfer Credit Unit does not return any documents including course outlines and transcripts.
