The School of Child and Youth Care

Ryerson's degree in Child and Youth Care is a flexible and accessible program. Our offerings include:

Four-Year Program
For high school graduates and others new to the field.

Direct Entry program
For those who have graduated with a three-year Child and Youth Worker from an Ontario college of applied arts and technology diploma.

Ryerson is the only university in Ontario offering a degree in Child and Youth Care. We offer classes that are small and interactive, led by accessible and experienced instructors. And that means that students can focus on building their ability to mentor and support troubled children and youth.

Connecting, Transforming, Caring

By Connecting - really seeing the good in someone - we can help them begin to trust. And by learning to trust and to see themselves through someone else, a person can be transformed. When they learn to care and to connect, they can care for others. This is the learning focus for Ryerson's degree in Child and Youth Care.
