Faculty Suites

The DMP has two multimedia computer labs in LIB-B99 available for the exclusive use of faculty, staff, graduate & undergraduate students who are assisting professors in their teaching. A PC and Mac suite are provided; both equipped with state-of-the-art hardware, loaded with a variety of multimedia and web development software packages. Associated tools include flatbed and slide scanners, video and audio editing software and hardware, CD and DVD burners.

These facilities are available at no charge and are maintained as "drop in" suites. They can also be reserved in advance via our online booking system.

The Faculty Suites are available 8:30am to 4:30pm.

Some of the more common uses of the Faculty Suites include the:

• scanning of images, slides, or 35mm film
• development of websites
• creation of static and animated graphics
• creation of presentations for classroom use
• creation of multimedia programs/CD-ROMs/DVDs
• digitization and creation of audio and video files for use on the Web/CD-ROM/DVD
• creation and editing of “broadcast quality” video
