Early Childhood Education
Field Education Event, Fall 2011
On Wednesday, October 5, 2011, a celebration of field education within the School of Early Childhood Education was held. Faculty, staff, students, family and friends were on hand to honour field educators and students, including those who completed a placement internationally.
Field educators from community based programs, child care centres, and schools were awarded for their commitment and dedication in mentoring our students while they were completing their placement.
Students from years one through four and our part time program were recognized for going above and beyond the field education course expectations at their placement sites.
Attendees were also treated to students’ poster presentations from their international placement experiences.
Students may complete their fourth year placement in part or in total in another country or province during the spring or summer between the end of the third year winter term and the beginning of the fall term.
Students completed placements in Tanzania, Switzerland, Cyrpus, Trinidad, Korea, Peru, British Columbia, India, Italy, California, Scotland, Costa Rica, Jamaica, and Abu Dhabi.
