Teaching Assistants/Graduate Assistants

Research Assistants

Research Assistants at Ryerson University are represented by the Ontario Public Sector Employees’ Union (OPSEU) Local 596. Conditions of employment are regulated by the Collective Agreement negotiated by OPSEU 596 and the University Administration.

In general, Research Assistants are Ryerson students who share a research interest with a faculty member and are hired to work with that faculty member on their area of research.  RAs may be hired through internal or external funding.
