Dr. S. Randy Boyagoda is an Assistant Professor, and received his Ph.D. from Boston University. He is a writer, critic, and scholar whose research interests include modern American fiction, religion and literature, and New American Studies. He teaches courses in literary journalism and contemporary literature. He is a Contributing Editor with The Walrus and also writes frequently for publications including Harper's and The Globe and Mail. His first novel, Governor of the Northern Province, was published in 2006 and received a nomination for the Giller Prize.
