Ryerson University has one of the largest entrepreneurship departments in Canada with both a major and minor degree program, over a dozen full-time faculty members, more than a dozen entrepreneurship-specific courses, and up to 500 students from other degree programs taking entrepreneurship courses. Two MBAs are offered by the Ted Rogers School of Management. More



$25,000 Slaight Communications Business Plan Competition

The BPC provides participants with first-hand experience with obtaining valuable feedback and ideas for improving their business plan, gaining connections, meeting potential investors, grabbing media attention, and, if successful, obtaining a $25,000 grant to actually implement their idea. Alon Ozery launched what would soon be one of the most deliciously enterprising businesses of its time. Pita Break was launched in downtown Toronto at the corner of Yonge and Wellesley as a small bakery serving tasty products directly to consumers. Read more (pdf, 516kb)

Pony Up

By overcoming doubts, pursuing her passion and launching her dream store, Kim Salerno is a true entrepreneur.
