The Sisters in Spirit Campaign was launched in 2005 by the Native Women's Association (NWAC) to raise awareness about the systemic, racialized and sexual violence that is perpetrated against Aboriginal women.  The NWAC is working in collaboration with other Aboriginal women's organizations including Amnesty International Canada to address the particularly high rates of missing and murdered Aboriginal Women in Canada, and the associated human rights issues.
