Are you passionate about sustainability and interested in making a difference? There are lots of great ways to get involved at Ryerson through volunteer work.
Opportunities on our team
We invite students to contribute towards our sustainability goals through our outreach initiatives, including:
Waste Monitor Program: Help educate community members on proper waste disposal practices. We’ll train you in advance so you have all the details you need about waste management on campus and how it differs from the way waste is sorted at home. We’ll then work with your availability to strategically place you at designated waste stations on campus. We’ll also equip you with knowledge about our unit so you can speak more broadly about what the university does to advance sustainability.
Educational outreach: Serve as an ambassador for sustainability at Ryerson. Join our outreach team and help increase education and engagement on campus about all things sustainability. Opportunities include classroom presentations, community building and collaboration with student groups, faculties and departments who are looking to improve their sustainability practices.
If you’re interested in volunteering with us, please contact Karina Maynard, sustainability coordinator at email@example.com or 416-979-5000, ext. 6273.
