Dean's Message

Welcome to the Faculty of Community Services.

The ten Schools within the Faculty of Community Services offer professional programs that prepare individuals for addressing the health and social care needs of Canada’s population. Our programs are designed to encourage students to be creative and critical thinkers and effective problem solvers, who can transcend disciplinary boundaries to find lasting solutions to social issues. We prepare our students to navigate an increasingly globalized workplace, characterized by the integration of diverse peoples, cultures, technologies, economies and political processes. Graduates of our programs have a substantive role to play in ensuring that Canada remains the very definition of what a civil society can be.

It is exciting to be at the Faculty of Community Services at Ryerson University. Our faculty members are excellent teachers and innovative researchers, providing students with unmatched opportunities for multidisciplinary and experiential learning. They consistently meet the challenges to deliver programs that prepare students to engage meaningfully in professional roles in a complex and changing environments. Our administrative staff are exemplary professionals who place a high premium on enhancing student experience at the university. Our students graduate with the confidence to deliver better social and health services, both as front line workers and policy makers.

Within Ryerson University that is driven to innovate, the Faculty continues to set the bar on standards of excellence. Today, the Faculty of Community Services offers full and part-time undergraduate and graduate programs to over 5,000 students.

We invite you to take advantage of the exciting opportunities we offer.
