Positioning for Success in Academia Workshop Series
The sessions in the monthly Positioning for Success in Academia (PFS) aim to focus on issues or topics of interest for faculty members in their roles as teachers and researchers.

Methodology Series
The Methodology Series workshops provide offer valuable information, advice and best practice guidelines in a range of research areas. Faculty members explore a variety of research methodologies that can be used across diverse research programs. Writing Circles
Writing Circles are created for small groups of interested faculty members to come together once a week for the full semester to offer supportive feedback to each other as they get started, continue or complete manuscripts of publication.

Writing Week - May 17, 2013
Designed to support faculty members in their scholarly writing, Writing Weeks are typically held in February, May and August. Each Writing Week consists of 3 components:
Workshop: A kick-off workshop where speakers are invited to speak on a particular topic/theme related to scholarly writing.
Drop-in and Write: During the “Drop-in & Write” week faculty members can come together and write in a relatively distraction-free environment with their fellow colleagues.
Editorial Services: Participants of each Writing Week programme will have access to an editor who will work with them on their manuscript.

Mentorship Circle
This initiative provides new FCS faculty members with the opportunity to meet together with faculty colleagues on a regular basis to share ideas and opportunities related to their academic role at Ryerson. The purpose of the FCS Mentorship Circle is to support new faculty in their early years of work as a FCS faculty member and will provide a network of collegial support and resources to navigate their academic career at Ryerson.
