Dean's List

The Dean's List recognizes our undergraduate students' outstanding academic achievement in an academic year.

If you are enrolled in an undergraduate program at Ryerson's Faculty of Community Services and meet the criteria outlined below, you will receive a letter of congratulations from our dean and a note on your transcript.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for the Dean’s List, you must:

  • Have an average term GPA of 3.67 or higher. This is calculated based on both fall and winter terms in the academic year.
  • Be carrying an average load of 4.0 units for the fall and winter terms.
  • Have all passing grades and clear academic standing.
  • Have not received any Disciplinary Notices (DN) while at Ryerson.

You cannot be on the Dean’s List more than four times.

Part-time students  

As a part-time student, you are eligible to be placed on the Dean’s List at the end of any term.  

You must normally complete the equivalent of a full year of study to be eligible. Also, programs may use their discretion when timing your inclusion on the Dean's List.

You cannot be included on the Dean's List more than four times.

Students registered with Academic Accommodation Support  

If you are a full-time student registered with Academic Accommodation Support, you are eligible to be placed on the Dean’s List at the end of any  term.

You must normally complete the equivalent of a full year of study in order to be eligible. Also, programs may use their discretion when timing your inclusion on the Dean's List.

You cannot be included on the Dean's List more than four times.

Exchange students  

Upon the recommendation of the director of your school, the dean may consider you for inclusion on the Dean’s List based on your grades from one term.
