Philip and Dorothy Barnoff First Generation Student Award

This award supports a first generation full-time student in the Faculty of Community Services who is in financial need, good academic standing and demonstrates engagement in community by working towards the goal of advancing the rights of equity seeking groups.

Isabella and Oscar Zacharias Undergraduate Research Award

The Isabella and Oscar Zacharias Undergraduate Research Award promotes and recognizes outstanding research and high academic achievement for undergraduate students in the Faculty of Community Students.

Student Conference Support Grant

The Faculty of Community Services Student Conference Support Grant aims to provide funding to undergraduate and graduate students in the Faculty of Community Services who have had a paper accepted and who have been invited to attend a peer-reviewed academic conference.

Full-time and Part-time Undergraduate Awards

The Faculty of Community Services Full-time and Part-time Undergraduate Award acknowledges students who have demonstrated leadership, collaboration, creativity, innovation, commitment and/or contribution to their discipline, school or community. It also recognizes students who have overcome a personal obstacle while remaining in school.

Social Development Experience Grant

The Faculty of Community Services Social Development Experience Grant funds students who have had proposals accepted by their programs for international placement opportunities that will contribute to social development activities related to their field of practice.

Social Innovation Award

The Faculty of Community Services Social Innovation Award supports students who have a strong interest in working creatively towards addressing a social issue. The award was established to support students that think boldly and act courageously.

Undergraduate Research Scholarship

The Faculty of Community Services Undergraduate Research Scholarship was established to encourage undergraduate students to engage in a research project focused on a question they have that has emerged from their academic experience, student engagement, transition from student to a professional role, or teaching and learning experiences.

RBC Community Services Award

The Royal Bank of Canada Community Services Award is a competitive award available to Ontario residents who are registered in a full-time program at the Faculty of Community Services who are interested in pursuing a career in the non-profit sector.

Zonta Club of Toronto Award in Honour of Helen Hood

The Zonta Club of Toronto Award in Honour of Helen Hood will be awarded to a female student in the Faculty of Community Services who has demonstrated their commitment similar to Zonta International's vision of a world in which human rights and fundamental freedoms are ensured for all women as well as a demonstrated focus on nutrition and/or health.

Dean's Graduate Essay Writing Award

The Faculty of Community Services Student Dean's Essay Writing Award acknowledges graduate students for the winning essay within each of our graduate school programs.

 


 

Usha George Students-in-Action Award

The Usha George Students-in-Action Award has been established in recognition of Usha George, former Dean of the Faculty of Community Services, for her active commitment to student engagement, learning opportunities beyond the classroom and social innovation.

Toronto Eglinton Rotary Club/ Dr. Robert McClure Award in Health Science

The Toronto Eglinton Rotary Club / Dr. Robert McClure Award in Health Science Award supports Aboriginal students pursuing a degree in a Health Sciences program in the Faculty of Community Services at Ryerson University.
