Academic Departments

At the heart of FEAS are our academic departments. Each boasts exceptional administrative leadership, faculty members who are experts in their fields, and some of the most skilled technical and administrative professionals in the university.

Aerospace Engineering   Aerospace Engineering
The Department of Aerospace Engineering is recognized nationally as a powerhouse of innovative research and teaching, and is the first and only stand-alone department of its kind in Canada.
     
Architectural Science   Architectural Science
The Department of Architectural Science features diverse, multidisciplinary faculty members dedicated to the pursuit of integrated, more sustainable approaches to the design and development of the built environment.
     
Chemical Engineering   Chemical Engineering 
Thanks to faculty researchers in the Department of Chemical Engineering, Ryerson is at the forefront of research in water/wastewater and food treatment technologies, biofuels, green fuels and alternative energy.           
     
Civil Engineering   Civil Engineering
The Department of Civil Engineering is home to more than 500 undergraduate students and over 125 graduate students. Faculty members specialize in environmental, geomatics, structural or transportation engineering.        
     
Electrical and Computer Engineering   Electrical and Computer Engineering
The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is the largest department in FEAS and one of the largest in the university. Besides the electrical and computer engineering programs, the department also houses biomedical engineering.
     
Mechanical and Industrial Engineering   Mechanical and Industrial Engineering            
The Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering focuses on how to do things safer, cheaper, greener, healthier and more humane. The department is home to close to 1,000 students and 30 faculty members.
