A note from the Dean

Dr. Thomas Duever

I am pleased to share Striving For Excellence, the Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science's 2015-2020 Strategic Plan. In alignment with Ryerson University's Academic Plan 'Our Time to Lead', the Faculty launched a planning process in December 2014 that was both data-driven and inclusive of insights from our students, staff, faculty and external experts.

As a Faculty, we have remained committed to fostering a transparent and accountable process, which is why we've encouraged our community to learn about and contribute to the development and implementation of Striving For Excellence through this webpage, town hall events and various sub-committees. On the right side of this page, you can find town hall presentations, the plan and appendices with detailed information about the planning process and the results. This page is also where you will find annual progress reports, the first of which will be published in January 2017.

I would like to sincerely thank everyone who contributed to our plan and look forward to our continued collaboration as we move forward with implementation.

If you have any questions or comments, I encourage you to contact the relevant representative identified for each department/committee, or Lynsey Kissane, Manager, Strategic Planning at lkissane@ryerson.ca or 416-979-5000 ext. 4933.

Sincerely,

Dr. Tom Duever, P.Eng., FCIC
