The First-Year and Common Engineering Office (FYCEO)

The First-Year and Common Engineering Office (FYCEO) is a special place just for first-year engineering students!

The FYCEO was created to help make students' transitions from high school to university smooth, pleasant, and successful. The FYCEO's highly experienced team includes a first-year academic advisor, a counsellor and program co-ordinators. First-year engineering students are invited to visit the FYCEO whenever they have questions, concerns or comments of any kind.

Office Hours

The FYCEO is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We are located on the third floor of the George Vari Engineering and Computing Centre in room ENG 377.

Academic Advising Hours

During the academic terms, normal advising hours are as follows: Mondays from 11:00 am to 12:30 p.m., Tuesdays from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Students wishing to meet with the academic advisor must book an appointment online through their Google Calendar. The FYCEO Academic Advisor, Dr. Lamya Amleh, is located in room ENG 353.
