Optional Specialization in Management Sciences (OSMS)

Courses

To successfully complete the Optional Specialization in Management Sciences, students must complete the required and elective courses listed below. Students must earn a minimum grade of C or higher in each course to satisfy OSMS requirements.  

Courses are offered in the Spring term only and run from May until the end of June each year. Not all elective courses will be offered every Spring term. Course offerings will be dependent on course enrollment. Pre-requisites may be required; please see the course descriptions for details.

ECN 801/CECN 801: Principles of Engineering Economics
EMS 201: Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management
EMS 202: Operations Management
EMS 203: Investment Analysis*
EMS 204: Organization Design and Dynamics
EMS 303: Managerial Accounting**

*Required course for students who were admitted to their programs in Fall 2007 or earlier.
**Required course for students who were admitted to their programs in Fall 2008 or later.

EMS 301: Management Information Systems
EMS 302: Operations Research
