Competitions
Student teams in the Faculty of Engineering and Architectural Science have a history of winning many competitions. One well-known competition in engineering is the annual Ryerson Engineering Competition. Winners of this competition can qualify to compete in the Ontario Engineering Competition, with a chance to continue on to the Canadian Engineering Competition.
Students interested in joining a team should contact their program department for details.
Ryerson's concrete toboggan team slid into first place at the 2012 Great Northern Concrete Toboggan Race in Edmonton, Alberta.

Ryerson engineering students made history at the 2011 Ontario Engineering Competition in London, Ontario. The students placed first and second in the innovative design category - the first time in the history of the competition that one institution captured the top two spots in a single category - and first in the parliamentary debate category.
This team of chemical engineering students placed second - the best-ever result for a Canadian university - at the 2010 Water Environment Federation Technical Conference (WEFTEC) in New Orleans.
