Dr. Soosan Beheshti receives Dean's Teaching Award

Dr. Soosan Beheshti recently received the 2010 Dean's Teaching Award. This award recognizes a Ryerson educator who has demonstrated continuing teaching excellence and achievement in instruction.

Dr. Beheshti joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering as an Assistant Professor in 2005. Dr. Beheshti earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from Isfahan University of Technology in Iran. She received her Master's and PhD in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Dr. Beheshti's research and teaching interests include signal and information processing, statistical signal processing, information theory, data denoising, data compression, control, and system theory and modeling.
