Dr. Boza Tasic to co-ordinate Math Assistance Centre

Dr. Boza Tasic in the Math Assistance Centre
Student Services announced recently the creation of a new initiative within Student Learning Support: the Math Assistance Centre. Dr. Boza Tasic has been appointed Co-ordinator of the Centre, which is expected to be operational by September 2010.
Dr. Tasic joined Ryerson in 2006 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, teaching first- and second-year mathematics courses. Dr. Tasic has been an active researcher in the area of universal alegbra, having authored numerous papers and given many presentations at conferences locally and worldwide. He is a member of the Ontario Numeracy Group and was recently nominated for the TVO's 2010 Best Lecturer Competition. Dr. Tasic earned degrees from the University of Belgrade and the University of Novi Sad, Serbia. He received his PhD from the University of Waterloo.
