Second-year architecture student Justin Oh received an honourable mention for his "Coalesce" design in eVolo Magazine's 2011 Skyscraper Competition.
Established in 2006, this annual competition recognizes outstanding ideas that redefine skyscraper design through the use of new technologies, materials, programs, aesthetics and spatial organizations. The competition is open to students, architects, engineers and designers, and seeks to discover young talent whose ideas will change the way we understand architecture and its relationship with the natural and built environments.
Oh was the only Canadian to receive this honour out of 715 submissions from 95 countries.
