Recipients of Faculty SRC Awards and the Sarwan Sahota Distinguished Scholar Award announced

The recipients of the Faculty Scholarly, Research and Creative Activity (SRC) Awards, and the Sarwan Sahota Distinguished Scholar Award have been announced.

Dr. Gideon Wolfarrdt, from the Department of Chemistry and Biology, is one of two recipients of the Sarwan Sahota Distinguished Scholar Award. This award is presented annually to faculty members who have made an outstanding contribution to knowledge or artistic activity in their areas of expertise.

The Faculty SRC Awards recognize individual faculty members on an annual basis for outstanding achievement in scholarly, research, and creative activity, and for impact on their disciplines during the previous academic year. This year's recipients from the Faculty of Engineering, Architecture and Science are:

Dr. Kamran Behdinan, Department of Aerospace Engineering
Dr. Alan Fung, Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering
Dr. Ali Miri, Department of Computer Science
Dr. Ahmed Shaker, Department of Civil Engineering
Dr. Krishnan Venkatakrishnan, Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering

The awards will be presented to recipients at a special luncheon later this month.
