Collaborate to Innovate

Partnering with Ryerson offers businesses a competitive advantage in today’s fast-paced environment. Whether you are looking to reduce your technical or financial risk, gain access to highly specialized facilities, license new technologies or attract highly skilled professionals, Ryerson has the researchers, students and services to meet your needs.

If you have a project in mind and are looking to collaborate with a Ryerson professor, we can help. There are an increasing number of funding programs that promote and encourage university-industry research collaborations. In addition to assisting you in engaging with a researcher, we are also able to help find additional project funding from public sector sources such as:

  • Engage Grant: Funds project costs up to $25,000 for six months to support a new R&D partnership between a university researcher and a company partner.
  • Collaborative Research Development Grant: Supports longer term R&D projects with industry. Funding is provided as a 1:1 match to industry cash and in-kind support.
