Free Financial Literacy Course for Ryerson University Students
Do you know what credit ratings are? Can’t figure out which bank account is best for you?
There’s no doubt about it – tuition, budgeting and personal finances can be intimidating. The reality is that the more you know and the sooner you know it, the better you’ll be able to understand your own personal finances and prepare for your future.
Ryerson Financial Services is pleased to offer RU: Debt Free, a free financial literacy course open to all Ryerson students.
What you will learn: About the program
Taught by trained student facilitators, the course is offered during the Fall 2016 and Winter 2017 semesters. Over a five-week period, the one-hour sessions will cover the following subjects:
- bank accounts and saving
- credit basics
- paying for school
- life after school
Healthy snacks provided each session!
At the end of this ungraded course there will be a graduation ceremony where you’ll receive a certificate and a “RU debt free” T-shirt.
All Ryerson students in the graduate, undergraduate and continuing education programs are eligible to participate.
To register, visit the course registration and select either a morning or afternoon session in the fall or winter semesters. Register early as space is limited!
