Admission Information



Masters Program Minimum Academic Requirements


Graduates with a bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, a related Engineering field or Applied Science discipline from a recognized institution.

Minimum grade point average (GPA) or equivalent of 3.00/4.33 (B) for MEng and 3.33/4.33 (B+) for MASc in the last two years of study.

Doctoral Program Minimum Academic Requirements

Demonstrated capacity to undertake advanced research through completion of a Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, a related Engineering field or Applied Science discipline from a recognized institution.

Minimum Master's cumulative grade point average (CGPA) or equivalent of 3.33/4.33 (B+).

Program Specific Documents Required for Admission

  • Statement of Interest Form

    Your Statement of Interest should be no more than 500-1000 words and should include the following
    :

    For PhD, MASc and MEng project-based applicants please list a maximum of THREE (3) Aerospace faculty with whom you might like to have supervise you.

    For MEng applicants please indicate whether you prefer a project based (faculty supervisor required) or course-based (no faculty supervisor required) program of study.

    Your reasons for graduate study in Aerospace Engineering.

    The research interest(s) you may wish to pursue in a Master's research thesis or project, or Doctoral dissertation. 

    How your previous studies and experience have prepared you for the program.

    Your career objectives and how this degree program relates to them.

  • Curriculum Vitae

    Please be sure to include all applicable work experience and publications.

  • Letter of Recommendation (2)

  • Area of Specialization

    Please indicate your area of interest (Aerodynamics and Propulsion (AP), Aerospace Structures and Aerospace Manufacturing (ASAM), or Avionics and Aerospace Systems (AAS)) by using the the Area of Specialization Form available on the Material Checklist on the Admissions page.
