Fashion (MA)
Admissions
For further information on deadline dates, English language proficiency and the online application, please visit or contact the Graduate Admissions Office.
Minimum Academic Requirement
Four year undergraduate degree in Fashion or a related discipline with a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.33 (B), or equivalent, in the final half of the program
Applicants must demonstrate a facility for Fashion design, communication, and/or history/theory. Depending on the area of interest expressed in their application, students may apply from a broad range of disciplines provided they have the necessary qualifications and training to successfully complete the program.
Due to the limitation of degree-granting programs in Fashion in Canada, undergraduate degrees from relevant disciplines will be considered. These may include, but are not limited to: Visual Arts, Theatre Arts, New Media, English, Art History, Cultural Geography, Sociology, Business and Marketing. Under special circumstances, students with a Bachelor of Science or Engineering may be admitted if their intended area of focus in the program draws closely on their area of expertise (for example, developing new materials and research in the area of experimental textiles).
Information on how to apply can be found at http://www.ryerson.ca/graduate/admissions. Please see information on fashion specific requirements below.
