Graduate Programs in Environmental Applied Science and Management



Admission Requirements to the Master's Program

The program is open to graduates with an honours degree from a recognized university in any of the environmentally related disciplines.

Natural or Physical Sciences

Engineering

Other Disciplines

Biology Civil Geography
Ecology Environmental Public/Occupational Health
Chemistry Chemical Urban and Regional Planning
Geology Industrial Environmental Studies
Environmental Sciences Mechanical Resource Management (eg. Forestry, Agriculature)

Other four year degree holders with good academic standing would be considered for admission on an individual basis.

Applicants must have obtained minimum B grade point average in the last two years of their undergraduate degree. In addition, all applicants are required to have completed at least one mathematics and one statistics course at the university level.

Applicants whose language of instruction during their undergraduate studies was a language other than English are required to submit a test result of English language proficiency. Students may submit scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), the Cambridge International English Language Testing System (IELTS), or the Michigan English Language Assessment Battery (MELAB) test. The minimum test scores which are accetable to the School of Graduate Studies are available in the Graduate Studies Admission website under the section of "English Language Proficiency Requirement".

Admissions decisions will be made by the Graduate Program Committee composed of representatives from the participating disciplines. The Committee will consider complete applications which meet the minimum eligibility to apply. Candidates who need mathematics or statistics will be required to successfully complete these undergraduate courses prior to registration.
