Graduate Programs in Environmental Applied Science and Management

Funding Support

Full-time students are eligible to compete for a number of graduate scholarships and awards which are offered by Ryerson's Yeates School of Graduate Studies and the Program.

Separate application for scholarship and award is not required. All full-time candidates who are offered admission to the program are automatically entered in a competition for a scholarship or a program award as part of the application process until all funding resources in the program have been assigned. Priority consideration for scholarship or award will be given to funding eligible candidates who submit a complete admission application to Graduate Studies Admissions by the date of first consideration. In addition to scholarship and award, students may be eligible for graduate student stipends, graduate assistantships and research assistantships. Students are also encouraged to apply for external scholarships which they meet the eligibility requirements. External scholarships require separate applications. For additional external funding or award information, visit the Yeates School of Graduate Studies web site on External Funding.

Examples of external funding agencies and funding program include:

• the National Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC)

• the Ontario Graduate Scholarship Program offered by the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities (OGS)

• the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC).
