The Molecular Science Program is a research-intensive, interdisciplinary graduate program that integrates ideas and techniques that span the boundaries of traditional chemical and biological sciences and explores phenomena controlled by events at the molecular level. Whether it be actual molecules, such as proteins and synthetic polymers, or macro-processes such as biofilm formation or medical imaging with acoustics, at their core, all phenomena occur through molecular processes.

Central to the Program is the research thesis, which permits students to undertake exciting, original and leading-edge research under the direct supervision of one or more of our Faculty members.  The research project is complemented by advanced graduate courses designed to introduce students to current research and state-of-the-art tools in selected areas of chemistry, biology and biophysics.  The culminating goal for our students is a strong professional development in research, critical thinking, independent and team-oriented skills and scientific communication.

To learn more about the program, please browse through the sections on the menu bar listed at the right side of this page. Importantly, you can hear straight from our students about what they work on and think of the program.
