Classes are intimate, interactive and intense. You’ll be expected to participate actively; count on spending 10 - 15 hours preparing each course, every week.
Classes normally meet 3 hours a week (36 hours/semester) between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
The mandatory MN8904 Practicum in Professional Nursing Advancement will put you in a challenging practice setting for 16 hours a week over 12 weeks. It’s a hands-on, in-depth opportunity to develop the real-life skills you’ll need to expand your role and enhance your career.
Course requirements, assignments and methods of evaluation vary. Expect scholarly papers, seminar presentations, exams, and evaluations from yourself, your peers, and your instructors.
Students who excel in this program have strong time management and organizational skills, solid communications ability, good study habits, and scholarly writing ability and a strong interest in a particular research topic.
