Dear Faculty and Staff,
There is just over one week left for you to complete Ryerson’s first employee engagement survey, the People First Survey. We have extended the deadline to Tuesday April 10, 2012 at 5 p.m. to ensure you have adequate time to participate.
The University will share the results of the survey in as open and transparent a manner as possible, both the positive and the negative. I strongly encourage you to take this opportunity to be heard and to contribute to making Ryerson an even better place to work. Your input is crucial in helping us continue to build a University where we put people first, so we can attract and retain talented people who want to develop their career at Ryerson.
Managers and supervisors, including Deans, Chairs/Directors, Program Directors and supervising faculty have been asked to provide employees the time to fill out their survey during work hours. You may also choose to complete the survey at home if you prefer.
You should have already received your invitation in your Ryerson email account, or by interoffice mail if you do not have an active Ryerson email. If you have not received your invitation, please check your junk mail, then contact Tamar Myers at (416) 979-5000 ext 7974 or tsmyers@ryerson.ca. For more information about the survey, please visit www.ryerson.ca/peoplefirstsurvey.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Ryerson Employee Survey Committee. Representatives from each of the employee groups spent a lot of time and energy working together to develop the survey and to represent your interests.
The committee included Larissa Allen AVP Human Resources, Committee Chair; Tamar Myers, Human Resources Planning; Miriam Comerford, Human Resources Organizational & Employee Effectiveness; Brian Lesser, Administration & Finance Management Group; Maurice Mazerolle, Academic Administration; Alan Pendleton, CUPE 233; Don Elder, CUPE 3904; Rona Abramovitch, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion; Gabbie Galbraith, MAC; Carey Barker, MAC (backup); James McKay, OPSEU; Jason Lisi, RFA.
Please help recognize their hard work by participating in this important initiative. We’re listening.
President Sheldon Levy
