Employee Information Form (EIF) No Longer Required!
In Human Resources we are continually working towards improved efficiency and environmental sustainability. The latest change to our processes is that we have eliminated the Employee Information Form (EIF). All changes that used to be made by filling in this form can be done quickly and easily through eHR, including - telephone numbers for home, cell as required
- mailing address (used for T4 Tax form, if different from home address)
- emergency contact information
- direct deposit information
- any changes required to TD1/TD1 ON forms
This applies to new employees who need to submit their information and existing employees wishing to update their records. It is every employee’s responsibility to ensure your information is up to date in the same way you would with your online banking or other online profiles, as it enables accurate processing of a variety of eHR services including your pay advice and year end tax forms. Benefits of eliminating paper forms: - You have control over your own information (banking, pay stubs, address changes, etc.) in a safe and secure environment.
- Avoid paper forms and wait times to talk to a representative or have your data input to our system. Changes can be made at your own convenience!
- Going paperless is less time consuming and labour intensive. Printing and completing forms to send to HR to be processed – each step takes time and deadlines can be missed. Submitting through eHR is immediate.
- Cutting back on paper helps reduce Ryerson's carbon footprint, furthering our important Sustainability Initiatives, and allowing Ryerson to make better use of budgets by reducing the costs of buying paper and ink cartridges.
- It's easy to use. For online instructions on getting starting and how to use it, visit www.ryerson.ca/hr/eHR/
We have removed the form from our website, however should you require a paper version for some reason, please contact HR Client Services at (416) 979-5075 or hr@ryerson.ca. Please note however that paper forms will no longer be accepted by HR after August 21, 2012.
