Practicum and Workshops

PRACTICUM WORKSHOP

You MUST attend a practicum workshop before doing your practicum. If you plan on doing your practicum in the fall semester, attend the workshop in April. If you are doing your practicum in the winter semester, take the workshop in August.

Next practicum workshop is: Friday, April 20, 2012, 9 am - 4 pm

The Practicum Workshop scheduled for August will be on Friday, August 24, 2012. If you are planning on doing your Practicum in Winter 2013, you MUST attend this workshop.

You will not be allowed to do your practicum if you do not attend a workshop. Once a firm date is established and if you are unable to attend because of a prior commitment you must get in touch with the Director, Dr. Winston Isaac, at wisaac@ryerson.ca ASAP and make other arrangements.

PRACTICUM SEMINAR

The Practicum is the capstone of the Health Services Management and Health Information Management programs. This final project consists of 2 courses: Practicum and Practicum Seminar.

Practicum Seminar is made up of three weekends in the Fall or Winter term, in which students present their Practicum projects to their instructors and fellow classmates. The final weekend consists of formal presentations by each student. The final Practicum presentations are open to all students, and will be held on the following dates:

April 12 and 13, 2012 : 9 am to 5 pm daily
