International Peer Support Program

As a new international student, you will be welcomed by an International Peer Supporter who shares academic and cultural similarities to you. International Peer Supporters are upper year student leaders at Ryerson with experience in cross-cultural communication and international environments, and are fun and approachable because they love meeting new people!

It is crucial that you interact with your International Peer Supporter because they will help you make a smooth and successful transition to both Ryerson and Canadian life. Your peer supporter will provide you with valuable information that is specifically tailored for the unique needs of international students - both academically and socially - in a fun and informative manner!

Your peer supporter will contact you on a regular basis to ensure that you get involved in ISS events and workshops, and will bridge you to the Ryerson and Toronto communities by organizing exciting Peers' Socials. To find out more, make sure you attend the Peers' Social - Meet & Greet on Friday, September 27, 2013, 4pm - 5pm at POD 250.

Your peer supporter will be able to answer any questions, or point you in the right direction regarding your concerns about Ryerson, Toronto, or Canada. By offering friendship and guidance, your peer supporter will ensure that ISS will be your home away from home!
