The Ryerson University - Ted Rogers School of Information Technology Management provides a nexus for research on management of technology in the digital economy. Sustainable competitive advantage in most industries depends on effective use of technology to support strategic objectives. With convergence the boundaries that previously separated telecommunications, information technology, and media have been eroded.

Increasingly there is a need to understand not just the “bits and bites,” the infrastructure or hardware and software but how technologies can be used and managed effectively. Consequently, multi disciplinary perspectives are essential.

Ryerson University - Ted Rogers School of Information Technology Management brings together scholars and practitioners from a range of disciplines—computer science, engineering, management, organization theory and the social sciences—to study the issues critical to success in the new digital economy. Researchers work as part of team to provide unique perspective and practical insights. The School is engaged in dozens of research projects which examine technology, applications, policy and social issues.
