Ask (Chat with a Librarian) collects only the minimum amount of information from visitors necessary to provide effective service. At the end of your chat you can print a transcript of your session or request it by email. Your email address is not stored and will not be used for any other purpose.

Email a Librarian E-mail your reference question. We'll respond to your inquiry within 24 hours, and often sooner. Responses to questions received over weekends and holidays may be delayed. If you would like to receive a response by phone, please include your phone number (local calls only).
Phone a Librarian Phone Reference at (416) 979-5055 and select menu option 3. Service is available during the hours that the Library's Reference Desk is open.
