Borrowing from Other University Libraries (Direct Borrowing)
Most Canadian universities have agreed that students, staff and
faculty may borrow in person directly from each others' libraries.
(Note: University of Toronto will not extend this agreement to undergraduates
from other universities.) Ryerson is subsidizing the costs for Ryerson staff, faculty and graduate students who wish to acquire a University of Toronto Library card. Ryerson graduate students can obtain a free U of T borrower card upon presentation of their Ryerson OneCard at the Reader Registration Desk on the 1st floor of Robarts.
Ryerson users wishing to borrow directly from another university
library should present their valid library card at the circulation
desk of the other library. All policies and procedures for that
library, including penalties and fines, will apply.
Please see the Canadian
University Reciprocal Borrowing Agreement for more details regarding
participating libraries and identification required.
Items borrowed from out-of-province libraries must be returned
directly to the individual library. Ryerson Library accepts returns
from Ontario University libraries only.
Items from other libraries may also be acquired via the Interlibrary
Loan/Document Delivery department.
