Extended Loans

(Reference and Information Desk, 2nd floor)

Loan periods may be extended in certain circumstances, for example, over holiday periods. Some restrictions apply; users must make requests in person at the Reference Desk.

Long-term Loans for Faculty and Graduate Students

The Ryerson Library recently enabled 100 day loans for all faculty and graduate students, with the option for one renewal. Many faculty and graduate students have indicated that they would like to have longer loan periods due to the nature of their academic work, and without the requirement to continually renew items.

Long-term loans will only apply to items in the regular circulating collection, and excludes 7-day loans, items on reserve, and the Audio-Visual collection. Long-term loans will still be subject to holds and recalls.

The Library hopes that long-term loans will better support the teaching and research needs of faculty and graduate students.
