Audiovisual material is listed in the library's catalogue along with books and periodicals.

Browse for AV Material

• Alphabetical list of all Videos and DVDs
• Alphabetical list of all Sound Recordings
• Alphabetical list of all Feature Films

Search for AV Material

Videos, DVDs, and CDs can also be located using some of the same search techniques used for books. For example:

• Author (Director, actor, screenwriter, performer, composer arrange or other associated names)
• Title (The specific title of a film, video, recording or work)

To search for videos or DVDs on a particular topic, use a Keyword Search and combine one or more keywords with "videorecording". Examples:

anorexia videorecording
poverty videorecording
public health videorecording

To search for recordings on a particular topic, use one or more keywords with "sound recording". Examples:

french language sound recording
poverty sound recording
salsa sound recording

To search by material type:

1. Search the catalog by author, title, or keyword.
2. When the search results are displayed, click on the Limit/Sort" option at the top of the screen.
3. When prompted to select criteria to limit by, use appropriate MATERIAL type: eg. DVD then "Submit".
