New E-Reserve System
In May 2011, the Library started using the Ares System for managing electronic course readings (e-reserve) in Blackboard. Seamlessly linked with Blackboard courses, the new system offers many additional benefits:
- Creation of personal tags
- Creation of personal hot lists
- Searching capabilities (e.g. title, keyword, author, department, tag) in addition to course code and instructor name
- Email notices when instructors add new items to a course
A Short tutorial on how to use the new ereserve system including how to look up and view a course reading, create tags and hot lists and subscribe to email notification is available.
Print Readings in the Library
Reserve materials (books, photocopied articles and videos) are available at the Circulation Desk on the main floor of the Library. Information about these items can be found by searching the Library catalogue by Course Code or Instructor Name.
Signing Out Print Course Readings
To sign out a reserve item from the Circulation Desk you will need:
Loan Periods

- No renewals or holds permitted
- No overnight loans for photocopies (reprints), most AV materials and some books
Overdue Charges
- $1 per hour to a maximum of $50.00 per item. Fines are doubled after recall.
