Cell Phone/Mobile Device Survey 2008
This survey was run to collect data to enable the Library to make informed decisions about the provision of Library services via mobile device. We wanted to know what types of mobile devices were in use, what mobile devices were being used for, what services people might want on their next device and what mobile library services our users were interested in seeing.
This survey ran from Monday November 3 until Friday November 14. Print surveys were available at the Circulation and Reference Desks on the main floor of the Library, and a link to an online version of the survey was placed on the Library’s home page. A draw for one of two iPod nanos was used as an incentive for this survey.
Number of surveys completed – 811
- Of these, 106 were completed in print and 705 online
- 788 surveys included an email address (to be entered for the iPod draw); 26 were anonymous or included a non-Ryerson email address.
- 84% of respondents to the survey were undergraduate students
